Spot on and if you think about it this is where 531 takes its magic from. Planned progression in the big lifts, supplemental to work on weakness or getting better at the movements and accessories to build some muscle.

It’s kind of funny, because if you do an assistance move on-purpose (like curls or rear delts or whatever), it’s fluff bodybuilder nonsense and doesn’t work. If you just throw it in haphazardly, it’s super-smart prehab/ balance work.

If you follow a specific progression plan that waves your loads up over time and then back, you’re a powerlifter just gaming the system and getting neurological gains that don’t build real muscle. If youre bodybuilding and add weight as long as you can, and then back off when worn out, you’re autoregulating and progressively overloading, which we all know is key to hypertrophy.

So I have been continuing my training over the last week, but haven’t really posted her. Having some knee issues that I can’t resolve, I wanted to ask if there are any knee specialists here, or does anyone have a referral for someone they may know/have used in Los Angeles ?

I have completed my strength phase of 3 weeks (it finishes this week) that I was working on, now I’m starting on a 12 week volume training phase.

I’ve continued my bulking phase, mainly looking at add fat rather than actual muscle.

I’m thinking that every time I aim for muscle, I gain fat, so if I aim for fat I’ll gain muscle!!!

I like this way of thinking. I have moved to now just saying adding weight then I dont have to be concerned with what is fat and what is muscle. LOL

I extended my 3 month bulk into a 4.5 month bulk, with the last 6 weeks being a dirty bulk, using this challenge as my justification the entire time lol.

I may have to block your log until I’m down with this challenge. When all I see day to day is ship food, my meal preps actually start to look appetizing lol.

Edit: also, what is the difference between a wrap and a burrito? I feel like people just call a burrito a wrap when they want to say it’s healthy lol

One of the fun things about my current position is that the surface navy banned certain types of rotating shift work after studies showed it was basically a 1 for 1 trade of doing it vs years of your life expectancy, however, since I am currently “technically” under an air wing, the surface rules don’t apply, and they can do the shift work lol.

Kind of a nuanced subject, but to keep things simple I use the terms interchangeably. I rarely fill a wrap with something that doesn’t belong in a burrito.
