Do Things Get Worse Before They Get Better?

How much T and hCG do you take per week?

I think it is 200 per week. Iā€™ll need to double check. I get that at the clinic every week. Then at home Iā€™m day 3 and day 5 Iā€™m taking 300iu of hcg. My estradiol was 28 before I even started treatment so with me having severe Ed after the first week which was worse than before I started it got me worried. No change with that on week 2 even after next shot. But At the end of week 2 I skipped my day 5 hcg and then this week(week3) I had significant improvement after my t shot. Still feel pretty good today. But I have to take the Hcg on Sunday and Tuesday so worried Iā€™ll get bad again. Iā€™m also concerned though to take ai and get worse If I donā€™t need to even though she told me to

I am considering doing .25 of it instead of the .5 she told me to just to be safe. But feeling better today is it even worth it

Here is food for thought. Check your BP. Maybe it started to go up with the shots, and your body is adjusting, hence some change a few weeks in. Sometime its blood and not T or E. High blood pressure can cause things to not work. Monitor that instead of your E.

Thanks. They have been checking my blood pressure and itā€™s been good. It hasnā€™t been an up and down type deal either. When I had the Ed issues it continued non stop for a week and a half. When I mentioned it while I was in for a shot yesterday my NP instantly said letā€™s put you on low dose anastrazole day after shot and see if you get improvement and we will run labs in two weeks. I just want to be sure Iā€™m doing the right thing. I thought maybe Iā€™d take a very small doseā€” less than she saidā€” like .20-.25 instead of .5 or just not take it all and ride it out. But Iā€™m no expert.

I donā€™t want to make myself worse. Iā€™m feeling good since shot yesterday but that could change when I do the hcg Sunday and Tuesday as I do think that raises e2 more than T does if Iā€™m not mistaken? So Iā€™m torn on what to do

Ok so I went back and forth on this. Iā€™m not a specialist and Iā€™ve read a ton. The concensus is AIs are generally not good in except for about 5% of cases. Also a lot of the reading sounded like it is using them for anywhere from several weeks to long term can cause problems for sure and higher doses. In order to pull the trigger one way or another since I was supposed to do it 24 hrs after the shot and didnā€™t know what to do either way Iā€™ve opted to go down the center on it. My dr wanted me to do .5mg once a week of it, instead I did about .20 today. Iā€™ll see how I feel as I go through the week. If I continue to feel good even after hcg(which is where I think most of my problem lies) then Iā€™ll do the same thing next week and re evaluate when I have labs in two weeks depending on where estradiol is. I do think it was getting high because of the hcg end of each week I was taking. I donā€™t think the dr is right in giving me this stuff without rechecking labs first which is why I donā€™t want to do that dosage and make something worse. I feel like being that my starting estradiol was 28 itā€™s had to rise some with the T and HcG so two weeks of a very small dose probably wouldnā€™t be detrimental and may help if I am slightly high and thatā€™s where I was having symptoms. Once I see bloodwork from dr and know where Iā€™m at Iā€™ll figure something else out. If Iā€™m high I might consider a very small dose further and maybe increasing to twice a week for shots. Before anyone mentions it again I have to do the hcg. Believe me Iā€™d like to remove it from equation but my wife is currently getting iui
