Do Things Get Worse Before They Get Better?

And important to note I was in the current previous steady state for about six months so the only change was trt and hcg

Iā€™m really desperate to find out why I went from low libido and could get a manual erection even though it took a little work to two weeks of trt and hcg having no libido and cannot get an erection at all. I felt good first few days of week 1. Even had sex for the first time in nine months without help from a pill. Then I crashed. Was it the hcg on day 5 or 7 or would it be a change to another hormone? Iā€™m just concerned

Now been in this state for a week

Take 2.5mg of Cialis daily, and try to relax. ED happens and can re-occur. Just take the pill daily and it could aid im your recovery. We all feel that way at first. But if you keep stressing, stress hormones will do you in. Whats your protocol, again?

Well the bigger issue with me is I had nine months of Ed with pssd from stopping an antidepressant. I finally was improving but had found out my T was low and so thought Iā€™d take appropriate action only to go back to major Ed. I take one shot of T per week and then on 3rd and 5th day 300iu of hcg.

@markc2008
In the first post of this thread you stated that you had just started your first shot of T a week ago. I posted that it took me 4 months after being on a set protocol for libido/erections to come back and be consistent. Give it time. Thereā€™s going to be a whole bunch of changes while youā€™re body is getting used to taking testosterone. Youā€™d be doing yourself a major favor by just relaxing and coming to terms with the fact that during the first 2 months things may not be ideal. In time they will get better than before.

Ok thank you. It just concerned me that got worse than before treatment.

The big thing that scares me is some other people that have pssd (pst ssri sexual syndrome) which I believe I have, have crashed on hcg. Some say it can cause down regulation of some receptors that involve what causes pssd in the first place. I was just concerned about that. Ofcourse it could as easily be hormones are now out of whack if it can happen in two weeks

Ok got back into clinic today and hoping to get input from others. I ofcourse complained about the negative changes on week two. I mentioned I thought it could be the hcg causing the negative effects as I felt ok until around day 5 which was after two hcg shots. She said she hasnā€™t had anyone react negatively that quick to hcg. She doesnā€™t want to change anything until labs again in three weeks to have consistency when we do labs again then. However, she said it could be that just estrogen spiked and has put me on a low dose(half a tablet of an Anastrozole). It looks like it would be a .5mg dose. She said we will revisit it with labs shortly but she wants to see if this helps my symptoms of Ed that has gotten bad. Is this an appropriate approach? Has anyone taken this anastrozole? All I know is week 1 I was good and about by Wednesday of week 2 I had no erectile function suddenly. No change so far and just got by 3rd shot today.

You wont take Cialis to get you through the rough spot, but you will take an AI which will take you deeper into a rough spot. Your Endo has no clue as to why you have had a change. You are in flux. Give yourself some time and dont touch the AI. Stop HCG and use T only. Balls will shrink but dont sweat it. You can introduce HCG once you get settled. Youre freaking out man. Chill and take a PDE5 inhibitor instead,

I do take cialis on demand several times a month so not sure where that came from? Iā€™m just trying to get back to being able to have erection quality. And I donā€™t know anything about Anastrozole which is why I am here asking about it. The practitioner does not want me to stop the hcg until my lab work in three weeks.

And I was not in the hcg for my balls, Iā€™m trying to protect my fertility while my wife goes through iui for pregnancy.

Im gonna say it for the last time. If you take Cialis daily, it helps with bloodflow. While you sleep, you will experience erections that aid you in the recovery if theres more to it than hormones. Constant relaxation of the arteries and vessels helps in giving you better erections. On demand is just that and wont continuously expand your CV system. Daily helps restore normal function, I dont know what else to say. Youre in flux. Give it time, and take your medicine.
Anastrozole is an Aromatase Inhibitor that stops the creation of Estradiol. You can crash your E really fast with this stuff and you will be in far worse place than where you are now. Without labs dont assume you have high E. If you take .25 it wont be the end of your life but continuos use can lead to health issues later down the road. You add T and you lower E which will cause you to chase numbers and your tail. I stopped using a few a weeks into my protocol. Some men claim to regain Dick function when they lower their E. Im not one of those guys. Id rather not mess with aromatase inhibitors. So if you are gonna mess with it take no more than .25, but Im not going to suggest that you do. If you suddenly regain dick function maybe HCG is not for you. I would just come off TRT until the wife is pregnant and then get back on. Or freeze some sperm and stay on TRT since shes is going through IUI.

Thanks for the advice. Iā€™ll ask my dr about a script for the daily use. I may try the .25 dose for two weeks until I get labs drawn again. I wonā€™t take the full dose she wanted. My wife had iui a week ago so I should know in another week whether it worked. If it didnā€™t then Iā€™ll either freeze or get off T for a while. If it did weā€™re going to make adjustments in a few weeks with labs so Iā€™ll ask to get off the hcg

I get 10mg Cialis pills and cut them into quarters. Goes a long way, and money saved. You dont need a daily script if you already have a script for a higher dose

Ok. Well I only have about 20 pills so I might need to get more anyways. Thank you

Ok so had my third shot first thing this morning. I now have libido and some function back. We will see how long it lasts

Iā€™m the same, I inject get erections and libido and it fades until my next shot. Its going to feel like a rollercoaster until your levels are stable.

Yeah it had me worried though because after first week and taking that hcg it didnā€™t just fade to my baseline I was waaay worse like impotent. Again not sure if my estradiol spiked like dr thinks may have happened or I just canā€™t tolerate the hcg but the T alone seems to help atleast temporarily. Fee pretty good today. Now if it gets bad again after Sunday when I take the hcg Iā€™ll know itā€™s definitely related

So with me feeling better after shot yesterday Iā€™m wandering if I should still follow the drs protocol and take .5mg of anastrozole. I was going to actually go Lower than that and take .25 of one with a pill cutter. But I also donā€™t want to get worse. The problem is I donā€™t think itā€™s the T injection causing the issue, I think itā€™s when I take the hcg on day 3 and day 5 that causes something to go wrong. Suspecting estrogen spike. Thatā€™s why dr wanted me to take it. Thoughts? But feeling good now.
