Greg - it’s great. Not only for physique and maintaining leanness levels, i just feel better. Let me know how it goes Mr. Swole Avi of the Year!
Jake - ya I go right around 235-240. Amazing when I go look at my old pics how baddd I looked. I guess it was a necessary learning experience and helped me put on that base of size, but yeah. Love being leaner!

Man, I wouldn’t say bad, it was a case of you so obviously had tons of size but I feel you in terms of at that “inbetween” bodyfat you can have days where you feel fat as shit. I’d know as my bodyfat is probably only slightly lower then yours was… 34"~ waist anyway…
Who knows about all this “pounds per inch of height” bull but at 5ft 10 I’m not going to estimate needing to hit any less then 230 to hit the sort of size you were/are.
Guess I’ll have to get to 210+ and see how I look then for now.
34" waist? That’s great man. On most days mine hovers around 33", so you’re not that far off.
I was definitely past “in between”. I in no way, shape, or form resembled “lean” at my worst.
Ultimately, you will see the further along you get, the harder it is to compare to others (in term of pounds per inch of height, etc) due to how unique we all are. YOU ARE A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE!

… on a morning at its smallest point! Ha. But yes, I do need to stop getting caught up in figures man- totally hear you on that point in particular.
It’s not worth saying anything past that with MDD principles nailed down waist measurement should stay pretty similar (i eat very little junk) & I should just gradually gain weight and see where it takes me. That’s the most we can really do on our side of the deal then we just say how our bodies respond right?
My goal is simple anyway: catch up to you as much as I can in the next year, going to be hella tough but a fun challenge.
Another update from phone. Luv all. No dice on interwebs today, hoping tomorrow.
Had one of the best back days
Neutral grip pullups - bigtime focus on using the range of motion that rapes back. About 3/4
Bw x 12, 12
+35lbs x 11, 9 drop bw x 8 ish
Kayak rows - latrape.jpeg
4 ascending sets. First 2 I got “8”, second 2 I got 6. Was in a lot of pain.
Strict deadstop DB rows w 2sec hold - awesome
70 x 15 LR, 15 LR
90 x 12 LR
100 x 10, 10
Rack deads - 3in~ below knee. Felt great today.
135 x 6
225 x 4
315 x 3
405 x 3
495 x 3
545 x 5 - +1 from last week, but reps were much cleaner.
Stretchers - rape
100 x a lot
112.5 x 15
125 x 12
137.5 x 12
150 x 10 dropped twice. Then did lat stretch on pulldown, wide grip, foot on seat like stretchers.
Meadows hammers
20 x 15 LR
30 x 12 LR
– alternating reg hammers
40s x 10 LR
50s x 8 LR
60s x 7 + partials.
High cable rope curls - exercise I am inventing. Will video and show eventually.
3-4 sets.
Finished w 3 sets high rep reverse curls w fixed bar, 50lbs.
I would try those Kayak rows you and everyone are doing but I think I would be stupid enough to do it wrong and end up with one lat bigger than the other lolo.
Bug, what brand of VCO do you use?? Do you but it in stores?? I looked yesterday while I was at Wal-mart, only found regular coconut oil, figured it wasn’t the same…
Admirable work for 40 minutes! You motivate me to at least up the pace a little
On your SLDL’s I’m assuming by the “using the 25s” comment that you are do these as low-stetched as possible style? How are you finding it as I’ve just switched to (they are at 8.43):
I can go up to 310lb top set on them and think they feel great for “just” hitting the hams while focussing on the being “stiff-legged” element. My weights don’t compare to extreme rom and eccentric 295 though
Spidey, “Spectrum”? I think I got it at Sprouts or Whole Foods… Dont think it really matters as long as it’s virgin.
Adam - thanks man. goddamned stretch hurts like a mofo.
jake - that’s correct. Honestly it isnt about the weight for me anymore on some things… like I’ve done SLDLs or RDLs before with over 400 lbs (though it definitely wasn’t as much about only hamstrings at that point… lol). some days i might go up to 185 lbs, other days over 385, just depends. but yeah, all about feeling that muscle and making it your bitch.
Had a quick shoulder session today. Was a very stressful last day of moving and cleaning. Finally got internet but its gonna take 2 business days to activate, fml. A girl gave me her phone number today… ok that’s all I got.
Seated military press
bar
95 x 12
135 x 10
185 x 6
205 x 4
225 x 4 - yay!
Thibs complex thingy - seated laterals / seated front raises / overhead DB press
used 20s for 2 sets, then 25s for 2 sets. Shit is BRUTAL.
THEN the next thib set (i was short on time and didnt feel like being creative) - CT partials / top ROM laterals / full range lateral (DBs end over your head… these are fucking sweet)
3 rounds thru, played with the weights. god so much blood in my shoulders.
Incline rear delt swings / full ROM+squeezed rear delt incline flies
50s —> 10s for 3 sets. insaneeee pumpage.
Chest machine shrugs.
up to 5pps x 15.
Then one set of DB shrugs to finish - 100s to 60s to 30s. God yes. Arms tomorrow.

Of course she did… I bet she even took her panties off and used a sharpie to write her number on them before giving em to you[/quote]
and he wore them to bed last night.

One-armed pressdowns

v bar extensions - thought of trying to spread bar apart, really rapes
4 sets of 10 or so
Overhead EZ ext - kingbeef said I should use the heavier ez bar. Felt better on the 'bows
Bar(30 or so) +10s x 20, 20
Bar plus 20s x 15
EZ preachers - dat negative
4 sets of 10-12.
