And incidentally this is what citing studies looks like in terms of writing:

"Alternative strategies for DNA sequencing can be grouped into several categories (as discussed previously in ref. 4). These include (i) microelectrophoretic methods 9 (Box 1), (ii) sequencing by hybridization 10 (Box 2), (iii) real-time observation of single molecules 11,12 (Box 3) and (iv) cyclic-array sequencing (J.S. et al.13 and ref. 14).

The concept of cyclic-array sequencing can be summarized as the sequencing of a dense array of DNA features by iterative cycles of enzymatic manipulation and imaging-based data collection 15 (Shendure and colleagues 16). Two reports in 2005 described the first integrated implementations of cyclic-array strategies that were both practical and cost-competitive with conventional sequencing (J.S. et al.13 and ref. 14), and other groups have quickly followed 17,18."

Either with links to the ACTUAL studies you’re citing where said numbers are, or a list of links at the end that are numbered. Again to actual articles not to press releases.

And by the way beans has an actual career in tax, so you’re sticking your head in the fucking sand if you think he’s brainwashed. Truth is he makes a living out of understanding what’s happening and you like to troll forums. If you think you’re the only one that knows “the truth” then why don’t you publish a study yourself and get it peer reviewed?

In a (no Bernie) capitalist society a person is worth what the market place will pay.

Simple huh?

 1. Your first paragraph is true, but there is something called a “pay wall” which basically requires one to pay a crooked fee to access the publications. The best I have is those articles, and they do link to the actual study within them if you actually read it.

 2. Your second and third paragraphs are bullshit. Im picking articles to back up my point. If you disagree provide a counter example. But you didn’t actually do that, so Im not sure how you can say Im “cherry picking” anything, when you haven’t even provided some kind of argument yourself.

 3. For someone who isn’t ok with the system, you sure seem OK with tossing your cash in the trash.

 4. That doesn’t make any sense either. I reread your last paragraph 4 times and I dont understand what you are saying.

That is bullshit and you know it. We dont live in a fantasy free market with lassie-faire capitalism. That is more BS taught in highschool. Wages are set by the elite so long as they are not held accountable.

You do realize you are arguing with two accountants with a Masters in Taxation and an MBA…right?

Their JOB is to understand taxation and how it works.

Their JOB man…this conversation is like you arguing how to play shortstop with Derek Jeter.

Im arguing about wealth inequality not taxes. I never said I was a tax expert. How many times to I have to repeat that?

That is what I would be doing if a socialist like Bernie Sanders were to be elected to the Presidency and my taxes were raised to pay for some 18 year old to attend college. If he wants to attend college his parents, or whoever raised him can kick in the bucks, or he can do what I did which was work a full time job and attend college at the same time.

Oh my …that is so harsh on the little ones isn’t it?

Wages are set by those who own the businesses…are they “elite”? Okay so what?

So, when Baseball player A makes 40 million per year and baseball player B makes 80-k that isn’t a free market? That isn’t fair? Baseball player A hit 50 homeruns and was MVP last season. Baseball player B is a young guy who just broke into the majors.

And…it’s like that all over the country. A welder with 10 years experience who is known to be a good at his job makes more than a welder who has worked for 2 months.

You need to spit out the pacifier and jump into the real world.

There will always be “wealth inequality” because there will always be people who are smarter and more ambitious than let’s say…the typical Bernie Kool-Aid drinker.

That’s capitalism.

You want someone to come along like a big mommy and daddy and make everything fair and equal.

Funny stuff…Seriously I am laughing about this.

Zeb1:

 1. Your ignorance is an example of why America is in trouble. Im not going to do your homework - research the cost of education as a function of time and inflation. Unless you have $200000grand saved up, you cant go to college with minimal debt. Wake up. Actually, maybe if you could afford an education youd be more informed about these issues, and maybe youd think differently.

 2. Your example makes no sense and does not describe wealth inequality. Again, Im not doing your homework for you. Do the research. Im sick and tired of making my point, to be told Im wrong about this, when someone like you provides these BS kindergarten examples. At the very least read the paper I posted last week. And if you want me to be a real douche, Im in the top 20% of earners in this country at 26 years old. I think it is you who needs perspective.

 3. Wealth inequality has nothing to do with ambition or work ethic. I know plenty of people who work hard and make shit money. You can be ambitious and poor too - plenty of people start businesses and fail as an example. Again, stop being ignorant, do your homework. Im not going to continue wasting my time trying to talk to someone who is just going to bash their head against the wall and scream when they hear something uncomfortable.

 4. Actually, my mom has been sick most of my life and my dad spent most of his time taking care of her. I took care of myself, so you can go fuck yourself.

You just described why you make no sense in that sentence.

Answer me this…why would anybody sacrifice their whole lives to make and build something? Hmmmm?

Why spend countless hours inventing products and taking risks? Hmmmm?

Reward, that’s why.

If all their hard work is going to be taken away and given to somebody else who has not earned it…then why put forth the supreme effort to earn it in the first place?

America is great because of risk takers and brilliant business minds, if there was no reward for these people or the reward was taken and “redistributed”…we become Venezuela.

LOL…well I think you have proven my argument. You said you were in the top 20% income earners and according to the above you did it on your own.

Good job.

Now why can’t others do the same thing?

47% of Americans currently get some sort of federal or state aid.

Enough,

Well said and if he doesn’t understand that I can see continuing.

Well, if it doesn’t make sense to you after the explanation immediately above concerning hypocrisy then I can’t help you.

Have you actually tried to start your own business? I have, you know what you need? Capital. You know what most millenials dont have, capital. Why? Wealth inequality due to the reasons I stated earlier. We dont live in the 1960s where a house was only 1x the average income, cars could be brought without loans, tuition was a few hundred a year, and healthcare costs were not out of control.

We are in the new America. The screwed America. The baby boomers and Gen Xers dont have to live with the choices they made, but my generation does.

Cry me a fucking river. I’m in the same generation that has to figure out ways to improve their lot. You know what I’m doing? I’m not focusing on helpless, powerless thinking. Oh gods, we’re screwed forever! There’s no way out! Nothing except government will save us! Fucking spare me. That’s helpless pathetic thinking. You have to decide to become powerful yourself, in your own life. That is the only way out. It’s hard because self-improvement is hard. Work is hard. Moving forward in your own life is hard. Yeah, it sucks a lot of times. But similar to bodybuilding, the only people who see anything out of it are the people who make the choice to get their ass up every day, go to the gym, eat right, and stay on target. Everybody else whines about it until they’re blue in the face and gets nowhere because they refuse to do the hard work.

Now I’m not saying that there are no issues with tax code. Or wages. Or social issues. Or education. or that there are people who work really hard and get screwed and wind up broke. Or anything else. There are and they are serious. We don’t live in a perfect world…AND WE NEVER WILL. What I am saying is that the more you focus on other people the more time and energy you waste. And there’s nothing in the world politicians and governments like more than people who feel helpless and want to give politicians and governments more power to “fix things” for them. They lust after power. And guess what…they never fix the bloody problems either. You said it yourself–they can’t account for the money, they’re corrupt, they’re losing it. Why the fuck would I focus on giving them more power?

Anybody can afford an education…ANYBODY.

Community college is ridiculously cheap.

I payed for a state university education by working part time and going to school part time. I graduated with zero debt.

The problem is this generation wanting their parents lifestyle RIGHTFUCKINGNOW…without having to work for it like their parents did.

And look who they support, Bernie…the candidate who is promising to give it to them.

Like I said, typical leftist. You can’t possibly fathom someone might not have the same world view as you, therefore THEY must have some sort of defect.

I don’t.

I have, a lot actually.

When you actually start talking about things other than bumper sticker talking points, or solutions that just make the problem worse, you’ll get quite a bit further in the discussion.
And really? You actually think some of these people deserve $200,000 A DAY.
Sure… Why not?

It has zero effect on me what they earn.

But let me ask you this, what do you think they “deserve”?

I make quite a bit, and don’t kiss anyone’s ass. Nor am I played a fool.

The rally cry of the person just recently involved in politics: “wake up”… Because it’s so obvious to the newly indoctrinated leftist, that their way, is the only way.

I own three at this point in my life…thanks for asking.

The first one was a huge gamble but it worked out quite well. Took out a bank loan and rolled the dice.

America is a great place and it will stay great as long as we keep kooks like Sanders away from the White House
