Volume and Intensity question.

In CT’s Different Journeys, Different Destinations article he states that if your weekly intensity ( for functional training) is between 95-100% you can perform 30-45 reps.

My question is would you total warm-up reps in to this? Say if one followed a functional program of Mon, Wed, Fri and a rep scheme of Mon: 6x1, Wed 6x3,2x1, Fri 6x1 (with a weekly intensity of 95-100%) that would total 32 reps but would you also count in the warm-up reps used to work up to the 1rm?

No, usually when breaking down reps and sets in a workout, warm-up sets aren’t included. Hope this helps.
