Powerlifter's Cancer Recovery

If you give it a try I will also.

Ohhhh youve thrown the cap down lol. Why the hell not, ill need to give it a week or two. My back is tender from Friday night, went for a sports massage and she used a knuckle duster like tool on my traps and mid back. Still bloodly sore…though feeling easier.

Real great lifting here. On your vids I keep getting this. I’m using Chrome as my browser. Is there something different about your vids?

I take the vids from my IPhone, edit them down to 16sec or less so they will upload and then do so from my photo gallery. I do not know what the other guys are doing. And thank you.

Was lucky enough to escape cancer as-well as of Feb this year.

Open a notepad and grab a pencil. Have 3 sections; Nutrition, Cardio and Gym. Write down 1 easily attained goal by end of week (ie cut out eating 1 hr earlier, walk 1k steps a day, go to gym and do one exercise). Then every Saturday evening, set next week’s goals. Don’t be a hero…make them easy. (Hero part will come with time!)

At the start, (not sure when you got clear), everything hurts and everything sucks. The key I found is to do really basic things to get some foundation, then every week dial it up. Pretty soon, you’ll be flying.

Feeling optimistic about the way things are going. I was looking for a meet yesterday. I found one in March located in Tampa that would have been great for a meet/vacation and it was already filled over 4 months out. I will find one and get signed up.

Nice squats. Good luck with finding a meet. Too bad the Tampa one was booked, that would have been fun.

I’m late to the party. Congrats! Great lifting going on. Sorry you couldn’t get into that meet. Hopefully there are some more coming up that aren’t booked.

Ran out of time. Stayed up to late last night.
I have two regrets this year, I wanted to drive my new to me motorcycle to town to go to the gym. Gym bag won’t fit in the saddle bag but I could have figured something out.

This is the other regret. Sounds like fun but I can’t help but imagine 5 disgruntled teammates. No regrets next year.

Nice benching. Does your bike have a sissy bar? If it does you can use one of those net type things to strap to your passenger seat.

Haha at the dodge ball. That could be a lot of fun. :joy:

I’m not sure what a sissy bar is.
I googled it, I bet I could add one of those, thanks.

Nice bike. Is that a VTX 1800?

These work really well for securing things on a motorcycle.

Oh man, that was my exact first bike. I absolutely loved that thing. Sold it off in college to help pay my wife’s tuition, miss it dearly.
