Sandbag Shoulder Carries: 2000 steps x 200
Sandbag Suitcase Carries: 100 steps x 200

Did I mention this was in 95 degree heat? The first three sets were 600 steps each. My previous best is 500 step sets and and a 1600 step day. And no biker, it is not time for more weight. 200 pounds is about the limit.

You wrote “about the limit”, but I’ll defer to your judgment. Especially since 150 seems to be my limit. My hurdle is getting the bag up and I need a truck to try your method. I won’t give away my 200 lb bag just yet.

Two decades left for you to stay strong. Seriously.

You are going to shame me into a larger bag.

No comment. Really.

If you’re in a/c all day be careful working out in that heat. When I was 32 I got a heat stroke in early March from climbing Inca ruins near the equator.

My office is surrounded by glass and gets pretty hot. I guess that’s the one good thing about working there. I complain all day.

I assume you control the thermostat if you supervise 300+ employees.

You would think, but no.

I dropped weight and added reps. It is going to be way over 100 degrees for the next week here. Therefore the garage it out and the public gym is back. Monday, however, I’ll still do walks outside. It only adds to the challenge.

I chickened out. I was going to do sandbag carries like normal after work tomorrow. The forecast, however, is saying 112 degrees. I went to the public gym today and was the crazy guy carrying stuff. It was 107 on my way home.

I’ve never done hex bar carries, so it was kind of a nice change anyway.

I like trap bar carries. No room to do it in the local gym, unfortunately, unless I inconvenience other gym-goers by moving all the benches over. I should ask if I can use the back parking lot. Owners like to keep their equipment inside, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

I was the guy walking around in the gym. There really was no one there, so I wasn’t much of an a-hole.

You probably just scared everyone off.

I was back at the public gym at 0500. It has been a long time since my last early morning workout. It is due to be 115 today, so after work is not going to happen.

There is a young guy who has been taking my daughter out, who works there in the morning. This gave me the chance to flex on him.
