Old Guy Strength

Likely will scare him off too.

Maybe. He actually seems like a nice kid.

Love it.

Oh yeah, this is what I checked in for :+1:

And some good training too…

I got off work two hours early to go a check up, only to find out it was cancelled. I raced home, changed and went to the gym. I already loaded up on Bang on my way back into town. I was all excited. Then I saw the sign on the door. “Closed due to heat. Be open at 5:00 AM.” What the hell? They have AC.

So I am the guy ignorant enough to train in the garage in 106 degree heat. It really was not too bad, but still I called it good after my deads.

Good Lord. Not even even that hot here. Hope the humidity was low.

^ ditto. I’ve never experienced temps that high with/without humidity.

You’re certainly not ignorant; maybe just a bit too motivated?

I know the feeling too well. It worked me into a back surgery at 30.

We live in Eastern Washington. Unlike the the westside, we are warm and dry.

Shoulder Sandbag Carries: 1500 steps x 200

Farmers’ Carries: 1000 steps x 65 in each hand

Overhead Plate Carries: 200 steps x 45

My first set of sandbags was a 200 pound one set PR, 500 steps. I keep getting farther and farther down the road.

Happy Independence Day O35 peeps. I’m on call this week. My son in working in Washington DC this summer, my daughter is staying with her sorority sisters’ family at their vacation condo, so it’s just the wife and me hanging out.

I got a call on my work cell. I have an audit this week, and for whatever reason the auditor showed up a day early. I said bye to my gym crew, went home got the work car, and went to work.

I’m a little tired of training in 100 degree heat, so it was off the public gym again. I think it was only about 85 in that joint.

Stay really careful in that heat. Garage gyms are for cooler weather anyway.

I seem to be remiss in not reading here as I should
good work - I spent good 15 mins crusing thru
from nearly being struck by lightning to some solid ass work

Thanks. The lightning episode is still a favorite around here. As for training, I am just trying to hang on as long as possible.

Sandbag Shoulder Carries: 2000 steps x 200
Sandbag Suitcase Carries: 100 steps x 100

My first set was 700 steps which was a PR by 100. I can now make it from my garage to the end of the driveway and around the corner to the private road. Excuse the dry spots. It’s been 95 to 100 here for over two weeks.
