I want to add medicine ball slams / throws to help develop power or use as a form of conditioning. What kind of set and reps would I do for each? Thank you.
For power I like sets of 3-5 throws at maximum effort.
As part of a conditioning plan I personally like to use throws as part of a circuit of 3-5 stations. In which case the throw exercise(s) would have 10-15 reps per set.
If you want to use throws by themselves for conditioning, I would go for a duration. 30-60 seconds of work with a 1:1 work to rest ratio.
