Creatine While Cutting

I’ve recently had an injury and won’t be able to lift for a while, so I decided to use that time for cuttting. Should I still be taking creatine? Will it help preserve lbm or would that just be a waste of creatine?

It will help you get that last rep, just like when bulking. Take it.

Read my post again; I won’t be lifting.

Sounds like one hell of an injury if you can’t lift at all. But if that’s really the case I don’t see how creatine will help.

Cutting while not working out = recipe to lose just as much muscle mass as fat mass. Just sayin

cutting without heavy lifting —> smaller version of current self

If it’s just a short layoff, the increased water volume in your muscle cells may indeed provide s small buffer to the catabolism you will no doubt suffer. Just my 2 Cents.
