For the last 8 days I have been joining my wife in the Mosely 800 calorie diet. She has trouble getting her weight down & I thought the company would help. It is surprisingly filling, and of course I am losing weight.
This could be a problem, because when you lose weight you get weaker. So far so good, because I am making regulated lift increases following the covid lockdown.
One interesting thing in the book is a reference to the MATADOR diet, which enables fat loss while maintaining your muscle mass.
It is like something I read in Muscle Media ages ago that I never got around to trying. So I will give this a go anon.

Clean and Presses. (30 k) 5. (35) 3. (37.5) F.F. — well the weight loss is partly responsible, but how can i do 3 reps with something and fail to get 1 with 5lb more? So completely feminine! Time was i could massively increase weights and succeed after doing a couple of reps with something. Must have lost all my fast twitch fibres.

Hi Jerry. Days are getting longer and warm now. We have had a cold, wet winter. Wet is good, all my rainwater tanks are full and the country’s crops are thriving, in a continent ever liable to drought.
Harvesting might be a problem - the citizens of certain states ignored social distancing & quarantine lockdowns, so they have rife virous infections & deaths (Like USA ?) So our borders are closed to them, which will make access to harvesters problematic.
The bluddy Chinese are arresting our citizens without charge & putting a 200% tarrif on our wine and barley, falsely accusing us of dumping. Retaliating because we called for an independent enquiry into corona origins.
As for wines, the Chinese prefer ours to their own poor product, so i guess their citizens will pay the tarrif.

The method is a combination of (1) An idea from the 1950’s taken from an English figure contestant. She would pause each rep at the top and bottom so there would be no stretch reflex or bounce. Hit the muscle better.
And (2) the CAT introduced by Fred Hatfield, where even a lighter weight would give maximum stimulation because of the fierce explosive contraction.

Really i’m not good. my workout pattern follows Starr’s Madcow. Successive sets with heavier weights, so things don’t get drastic till the end. And then my recovery is so slow that twice a week is it.
Still, if you think it’s good, I will bask in your kind opinion.

Hi friend Bonobos. just a blip. Have had a few injuries over the years that sidelined me for up to a year, while i worked on healing them. A back injury, a knee injury, and a shoulder injury. With the back injury i spent many months training lifting exercises while sitting on a chair on the platform.

This is the first time i have done this none-too-impressive 40k this year. made 5 reps last year, so i have a long way to get back to even that. but i am getting better, slowly.

After quite a few months of zero covid cases in this state,a cleaner at a returned traveller quarantine hotel picked it up from a flat surface. She infected her 12 extended family members, and they spread it to many areas in the city. It is extremely virulent, where an infected person was infecting others within 24 hours. There are 4,000 persons in contact being isolated. The government has imposed an extreme lockdown while they trace and stop this spread.
All schools, hotels, restaurants, fast food venues, weddings, funerals,businesses, etc etc are closed. No one can leave their house for exercise. Only one person may leave a house once a day to buy supermarket food, or get emergency health care.
It is 36 degrees today (96.8 F) : I live 500 m from a beautiful beach, but I can’t go for a swim. I am grateful though for a government that believes the scientists and hasn’t cost us a quarter of a million dead.
