Yeah, I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure snails cant jump.

Neither can us white men.[/quote]

I believe it’s elephants are the only mammal that can’t jump.

Ummm, I’ve been in lots of parlors where the cow has to step down. So I’m pretty sure that one’s wrong, from experience.

True, blue whales leap like crazy…

And btw, I can lick my elbow.

Botulinum toxin is the most poisonous substance known.6-7 A single gram of crystalline toxin, evenly dispersed and inhaled, would kill more than 1 million people, although technical factors would make such dissemination difficult.

A little bit over 6.5 kilograms of it could theoretically wipe out the entire human race (http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/popclockworld.html)

Wikipedia differs, closer to what I learned in microbiology:

It is possibly the most acutely toxic substance known, with a lethal dose of about 200-300 pg/kg, meaning that somewhat over a hundred grams could kill every human on earth (for perspective, the rat poison Strychnine, often described as highly toxic, has an LD50 of 1 mg/kg, or 1 billion pg/kg).

Anyone with with time on their hands should debunk these facts.

A snail is defnitalyl an animal - and so are spongers and jelly fish and sea urchins…

Chill… that’s some seriously terrifying shit.

With that fun little fact about that toxin posted, we as americans should be enjoying a fair amount of panic sometime soon. Good times.

And yeast.

I could easily see why it would seem that people are more afraid of spiders than death. If go around surveying people, asking people what they are most afraid of, it would make sense that more people are going to say spiders than death. Not because they are more afraid of spiders, but because it’s something we tend to block out.

LMAO dude we’re talking about mammals not fish.

Actually, Guinness world records get about 5 calls per day from people who can lick their elbow. It’s not that rare.

No piece of paper can be folded in half more than 7 times

Actually, I went to Physics thesis Presentations last year at the University I was attending…and one girl had done just that, she forlded the paper 13 times all together I think it was…then related it to her topic…yeah I know I’m a geek…whatever, some of the stuff is pretty interesting

We have a hostage situation on Alcatraz…get me Stanley Goodspeed.

I can fold a piece of paper in half thousands of times.

As long as I unfold it every so often…

During your lifetime you will swallow at least eight spiders in your sleep.

Bees cannot see the color red.

A pound of giant water beetles contains as much protein as a pound of beef…mmmm crunchy.

The fastest flying insect is the horsefly which has been clocked at 90 mph while in pursuit of a female.

Male ducks don’t quack.

Birds do not have bladders.
