If your using a PC, there’s a “print screen” button. Just hit it and then paste the image into a simple image editor and save it.

I use xbuntu in my shop and as a dual boot with vista going to be switching back to normal ubuntu tonight the xfe interface is weird to me

8 gigs memory
64 bit os

all my pcs are the same just different cases all built by me

there not top the line but they are adaquate for the price I paid for them

I have a distro of Xubuntu that I was going to give a whirl, but I’ll download Ubuntu. Any good guides to getting started with Linux? should I just buy a “complete idiots guide” book?

I have been playing around with Puppy Linux, but just boot from CD and running it on RAM. I like the speed and efficiency of the OS a lot.

no no dont buy anything thats the beauty of open source stuff its free that includes the stuff to learn about it.
Linux - Wikipedia and http://distrowatch.com/ is good to start with
I have copies of mepis laying around too its good to start with its basicly the same as ubuntu with a different look
xbuntu is ubuntu with the smaller xfe interface its juts how it looks basicly
