Anyone have on opinion on zone bars? I eat them for snacks quite a bit.
If you can avoid it you’d be best to eat real food as opposed to bars. If you can’t do this a second option would be to carry some protein powder around in a shaker.
However, if you insist on eating bars then I’d suggest that you select a different type since Zone bars are typically made with soy protein.
I think they’re delicious, but their protein comes from soy, which is not even on the page of “best protein sources.” I’ve cut way down on consumption since learning more about soy on this site.
I believe the zone bar would be good to use if you’re involved in some type of endurance activity (running, biking, etc.)
But as a snack/meal, it is not a good choice.
