ZMA vs. Individual Compounds

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone here has tried using zinc gluconate + magnesium citrate (or other high absorbtion mag) in place of a ZMA product? I have heard about some good results with the zinc gluc+mag combo and it is quite a bit cheaper. Anybody have any input?

There would be little to no difference, go for the cheaper way. I believe there is a b vitamin also included in ZMA to help with absorption.

i know a few people who do this, it should work out the exact same

ZMA is $15 per month, is it really worth the hassle?
