A bunch of left hand right sets of 2, but I manned the hell up and grabbed the big beast metal DB, which is really only 110lbs (I originally thought it was 125lbs). It went up nice and easy, and I resisted adding some weight to it, ?cause I?m on deload.

10ish x 315 just over 70% of my 1rm?the fury set?left it all on the ?mat? as they say. This was 10 or so fast hard reps and more satisfying than anything I can think of at the moment. It was like squeezing out a boil.

531 for Strongman has brought me some solid gains, but it is starting to feel stale and I am starting to stall. Some of that is me skipping accessory work, but time and energy are at premium these days. I decided switch the rep scheme to the Cube Kingpin Method. I think the mix of intensity and volume will do me some good. I kept the same split because it works for me. Also, I decided to work more pushpress into my OH week. I think I might alternate push and strict week after week, again for time and energy efficiency.

I’m sorry you’re going through a rough time. Divorce cannot be easy. Training is always such an amazing stress-reliever for me. I hope it works that way for you as well.

I hope the change up in training programs goes well.

Thank you for the kind words. Training has been indispensable but I don?t really think of the stress relief so much as the effect it has on my overall mood. Even in this situation, and the almost nightly discussions, arguments, crying sessions, I still feel centered and that in the end, I will be alright. We?re back and forth daily, she filed because I had become distant because I was dealing with some internal problems, but thinks there might be something to save but?and so it goes through these cycles daily and I go through my own of I want to save it then I?d rather just let go. I kind of wish we could just break-up and be done rather than 90 days of this then court but then there is that slight twinge of hope and I?m back to begging?

the prescribed programming (which is lifted directly from the Cube Kingpin) was 5 x 2 @ 80%. I am not sure where my PP is these days, but 195 was the most I have ever done, although that was from a continental clean, was 205. I thought it was 195, so I took 80% of that, rounded up was 155. it felt too easy.
