I always wondered what had become of Snake-Eyes after the G.I. Joe cartoon got canceled.

He’s worried about the pressure in his ears. He’s got to pull so hard to get that weight up that without those ear muffs he’s ear drums are gonna explode.
As for the balaclava, the feeling of anonymity allows him to brave all his fears.(the ones where he knows he’s an idiot). Just like when an ostrich sticks his head in the sand.
