I’m preaching that all humans should be able to do all the basic movement patterns:
- Press
- Squat
- Hinge
- Pull
- Carry
And YES if you can’t do a proper overhead press with a barbell something is broken. But sadly because of our lifestyle and the way most people trained their whole life they DO miss things that are needed to press safely overhead.
What I’m saying is that you should NOT press overhead if these things are preventing proper mechanics. But that you SHOULD fix them until you CAN press safely overhead,
