No doubt, they should be prosecuted to the full of extent of the law.
However, I think there’s something to be said about intentionally choosing a guy whose goal is to throw gasoline on the fire, instead of someone who will factually and respectfully represent supposed Republican values/issue-positions.
I don’t want a guy who gets off stoking the flames in our increasingly divided nation. I want a guy who is TALKING to the other side about what I believe in, why I believe in it, why what I believe in is important for them. I don’t want a guy who riles MY SIDE (supposedly) and theirs up.
I want someone that is respectful and inviting. You know, someone that might actually be able to preach outside of the choir.
I wrote them off when they went full idiot, pandering to the religious right.
They suckel from the same trough of money in D.C. that the DNC does.
The only reason I still give them any support is, the even fuller tard wagon that the ultra P.C, progressive loving shit idiots, the DNC hitched themselves to.
Bernie will win the popular vote, but will be assassinated. Trump will beat Clinton, but Clinton will cheat and take victory. Trump will have an uprising. Clinton will try to usurp the presidency. We will have a civil war.
Yep, but for me it goes further than that. To me this is coming very close to signaling an abandonment of entitlement reform, the actual stone hanging around the necks of our near-future citizens, through gross-over exaggeration, finger-pointing and demonization of “the other.” And a fantastical promise to “grow us out” of the issue.
Outright hostility, a wall, and the insistence of no-exceptions mass deportation is not remotely a worthy trade-off for abandoning entitlement reform as a central issue. Cripes, Obama himself has pointed out that servicing the debt and meeting entitlement obligations would consume the entire revenue in the not all that distant future.
And the Republican nominee (of the two parties, the Republican nominee, who’d a thunk it) dumps the issue because…he’ll “grow us out” of the problem? Whaaaaaaat? The Republican nominee is in effect telling the Republican base, “nah, the Republicans have been lying to you. Your entitlements need not be touched.” Again, whaaaaaat?!
To be fair, Sanders is the only candidate not brought by the media and he has a track record of being genuine with his ideas/goals. Im not trying to sway your opinion one way or another but I don’t like how he has not gotten fair coverage as Clinton or Trump have.
I agree, quite obvious by now that some do not see him as the lesser of two evils. But, as for my bias (which we all have some) I try to put that aside and look at the wide number of democrats that voted for him in the primaries. In fact, I would always cringe when I knew ahead of time that it was going to be an open primary because Rubio and Cruz were usually crushed when that happened.
And I agree it is too early to tell what will happen election wise with the FBI investigation still active. But it’s difficult for me to believe that the many dems that crossed over during the primary will abandon him and vote for the democrat. Anyway, that is the reason I gave Trump PA, VA, OH, WI and perhaps Michigan.
Of course if the ticket is Biden/Warren who knows? It might be a whole new ball game.
Just please keep in mind that some of us are not excited about paying 52% in federal tax alone should the democrat party be stupid enough to offer up Sanders and then Sanders be lucky enough to actually win.
And of course there is that whole socialist agenda that is just a tad frightening.
Im not sure where you heard that, but his website states clearly where the funding is coming from:
Most of the money comes from taxes on corporations and wallstreet, which youd have to be a moron at this point to not think they are both corrupt and cheating Americans. I noticed a .2% increase in payroll tax and 2.2% respectively. If I recall most of the tax increases would be applied to those making over 300000/yr. I’m ok with that, so is Bill Gates and Warren Buffet.
My favorite part, if you make over 300K and you’re taxed more I’m okay with that. So are two mega rich people that have more money than some small countries.
I think it makes sense to tax wallstreet and corporations fairly, that is all. You have to admit they get away with a lot of crooked shit. The 2008 meltdown was almost exclusively caused by these people and they have yet to be held accountable (as in people go to jail). To think how effective our country could be if we actually allocated our resources properly…
And don’t get me started on higher education. That is the biggest Ponzi-scheme in the history of this country. Looking at the cost of college vs inflation, it rises at a rate of about 5x. My solution would be to make the schools pay back 50% balances of the loans. The money went someplace…
