I’m back ! Don’t everyone get all bleary eyed at once.

Have been taking 2 steps forward and 2 steps back for a while now.

Nagging injuries still include the groin and shoulder, but my new fun is some powerful pain in my hands and wrists. Doc said it’s not carpal tunnel, or arthritis, but hey they’re not sure what it actually is.

Typing seems to inflame the hands. Lifting doesn’t appear to make them worse, but I think lifting is what gets my wrists really fired up.

Have been doing a simple full body workout for the past 4 weeks. 2 days a week 3 sets of 5 with squats, deadlifts, overhead press, rows, pullups and curls.

Felt pretty darn good yesterday so I’m committing to getting back on my 5/3/1 4 day a week plan.

Lift on !

Okay…so…first day back with 5/3/1 was yesterday. Nothing to write home about, but set my squat max at 240.

I was planning 5 sets of 10 at 110lbs but realized I hadn’t done so much volume in a while so called it a day with 1 set.

I’m focusing more on warming up and looking to get in and out in 30 minutes.

Tweaked my lower left back a little so tough standing up from seated position…not too bad, but glad I wussed out and only did the 1 set of 10. It’s good to be lazy !

Here’s some minor food porn…home made venison breakfast sausage, eggs fried in the sausage fat, strawberries and cherry tomatoes and home made kraut.

Off day…I did 2 sets of 11 pullups and 1 set of 12 and went for a walk with She Say.

Ok…i can see I’m going to have to pimp my own thread.

Was out of town last week Wed-Sunday so doubled up on Mon and Tuesday.

Squats and overhead press on Monday
Deadlifts and Bench on Tuesday

Benched with Sen the IV and demolished the young whipper snapper. We both worked up to a measly 205 on our 5/3/1 program. He got 4 reps…i told him to say "when’ at rep 11. Have to enjoy it as he can crush me on squats and deadlifts…but then so can a heavy set 4 year old girl.

Week 3 of 5/3/1

Yesterday - Squats worked up to 205 for 5 reps

Today - Overhead press - 155 for 5 reps

Will post more complete workouts as I know everyone is dying to see my impressive weights, but swamped at the moment.

That looks awesome. Living in the Pacific Northwest I have caught and eaten a lot of salmon. Sadly, my wife does not like it, so I don’t get it too much. Nice work though.

Gonna head up to Lake Erie in August for Walleye. Started a bucket list to fish all 5 Great Lakes.

Non-weight day:

Went for a couple mile walk with She Say, did 2 sets of as many pullups as possible (12-ish) and choped firewood for 30 minutes.

Workouts from last week

Thursday = Deadlifts
Worked up my 3rd week of 5/3/1 to a single at 205. I’m wussing out on deadlifts for the foreseeable future. Was out for a couple of months earlier in the year after effing up somehow and ruining my back.

Friday = Bench
3rd week or 5/3/1 - 205 for 5 reps as final set and then 225/245/265 for singles
