You too?

So that’s why those guys waddled out of the gym after they were finished squatting… makes sense now.

I think it was a hernia…not good.

I did that hex-bar deadlifting once in highschool.

Shat all over my boxers, wasn’t a fun session

Did anyone else yawn when they read the word yawn?
Years ago, a coworker and I were discussing contagious yawns. It got so bad that every time she even said the word “yawn” I yawned. Without fail.

(If my story evoked even a single yawn, it was worth it.)

yeah, no doubt.

i yawn when i’m nervous, or really, really amped up.

in Army Airborne school i was yawning when i was on the bird for my first jump…everyone was pretty much freaked out by that, to include the instructors.

I did !

WTF is this about? Yesterday I was at the end of my workout, I was in the middle of supersetting lunges and SL deadlifts and I just suddenly started yawning uncontrollably. And I don’t mean a sleepy yean or even a “shit this thread is boring” yeawn, I mean a proper face splitting gasping yawn. It went on for ages, I could keep it in while I was lifting but in my rest periods I looked like a right gimp.

Anyone had this happen to them? What’s going on?
yawning is not only designed to let teachers know you are bored. its also designed to open up the lungs so you can get in more oxygen. late night, hard workout, yawning; your mind is telling the body its not getting enough oxygen and it needs to fight off sleep to finish the workout.

Sure did…bed time for me!

I always yawn at the gym also. Figured it would be a lack of oxygen.

You see? You all laughed but look how much fun everyone is having talking about yawning.

To be fair it was a very slow day at work when I started this thread.

Lack of oxygen is right, your not breathing enough or properly.

It cools the brain.

Fixed.

i cant breathe when i leg press or shrug

i think im losing brain cells cause of it

you guys think yawning could be reduced with more intensive cardio training and raising your VO2max?

I yawn some workouts and it pisses me off. It’s a sucky feeling letting out a big yawn right before going for a DL PR. I was scared it was a sign of over training or something. I’ll settle for lack of oxygen…

It happened to me a while ago somewhere when I first had Anaconda so maybe in Feb. or so. I’m yawning now. Good night.

Wonder if these things have ever happened simultaneously.
