WTF is Myostatin Supossed to do

Maybe I’m the only retard in here, but I have no idea what this stuff is supposed to do. Muscle gains without work? Better muscle gains? More actual muscle? What? Let’s clear it up right now, please!

Myostatin is a gene in most every animal(there are some exceptions, i.e. belgian blue cattle) that controls the growth of muscle. It decreases the growth of muscle.
