WSFSB Additional Leg Day

I’m considering starting the Westside For Skinny Bastards program again, and was wondering what would be the best method for adding in a repetiion lower body day.

My initial hunch is to do something similar to the lower body repetion days in Joel Marion’s “Westside for Bodybuilders” Bench Press program which I beleive is something like a 5X8-12 for a quad dominant and hamstring dominant movement. However, I was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions or have done the program with an additional lower body day themselves.


this is the follow-up article he wrote for a repetition leg day. i followed it for a bit, but then changed it. i prefered doing deads on the “heavy” day, always shooting for a 3-5 rep max. every once in a while i’ll do something else, like every 3 weeks or so go for more volume for that week. but on the leg repetition day i’ll do squats in the 8-10 rep range. for me, it feels really good and isn’t too much with the heavy deadlifts and some kickboxing/bjj .
after squating, i’ll still do the unilateral and PC stuff.
