Wrestlers Diet???

Kent, I work out 5 times a week for 45mins-1hour and wrestle 2-2.5 hours a day. I think u read it wrong.

I would stick to 2-3 days in the gym. You run the risk of overtraining at 5 days a week. YOu are young, so you may be able to get away with it. But if you stall try cutting back.

okay, you brought up cutting water weight before a match, understand it is a bad idea. I wrestled 2 years in high school and cutting weight was one of the big reasons why I stopped.

BUT if you’re going to do it, take Pedialite (sp?) immediately after weigh-in. That’s the stuff they give babies that are dehydrated from throwing up/pooping too much. Drink a little more water than the package recommends and you should be fine for your match, plus a pound or two heavier than your opponent.
