Why dont people accept things as they are? Men are men. Women are women. Men <i>will</i> look at porn far more than use fantasy romance novels - just writing it makes my balls shrink - and thats that.
Sure, legally, there has to be a standard baseline that protects the individual, not some gender-biased legal stuff that good-for-one-bad-for-the-other double standard.
But, other than that, call things by their name, accept that men and women are fundamentally different, that theres a gray zone called bisexuality and homosexuality between these two islands, and thats about it.
Principles are good. But theres a limit. Its called reality. And gender identity comes with it.

DANC, I am totally an essentialist; there are inherent differences between the genders, and I think that those differences should be acknowledged and one gender should not be pressured to be like the other. The androgeny project that exists in colleges these days actively tries to eliminate any differences by doing things like making co-ed bathrooms. I disagree with this, and my essentialist viewpoint is exactly where I my opinion about porn/cosmo/romance novels stems from. And I dont understand why youre saying that you cant look at the effects of these things for both genders?
I mean, sure, guys are still going to look at porn, and girls are still going to read crap mags, but how about some examination of what that entails instead of just accepting it? Even though I advocate differences in the sexes (which are proven by neuroscientists by brain scans), I don’t buy the ‘boys will be boys’ excuse for everything.

Usual* women`s comments:
- They`re happy with something around 8 inches, and it needs to be wide. No spaghettis.
- If it`s shorter than that, the guy sure needs to know how to use it.
Corollary:
Since the average guy is near 6 inches, women will, on average, never be happy if we take them seriously.
- Some are sane and admit there are differences in nature, and it`s their job to find a partner with a good fit. A 4 foot 5 inches tall woman probably could not fit an 8 incher in her.

8 inches is much too big. The biggest I have met was 6 inches and that was too big. I think what girls THINK is 8 inches is really 5 or 6 inches…case in point, I THOUGHT my ex was 9 inches for many years. Once, we measured it and it was 6 inches…so it looked and felt much bigger than it really was. Does 8 or 9 inches really exist anyway, or is it porn mythology?
