Worm Therapy for Crohn's disease

A friend of mine has chrohn’s and is going through a difficult time with it. I was messing around on google and read a wiki on a therapy for crohn’s where the patient willingly gives themselves hookworms, as in the tapeworm, to help calm down the disease.

I was wondering if anybody knew whether this was reccomended or not or at least has a first or 2nd hand knowledge, and anybody with medical knowledge would be appreciated. thanks.
