Workouts During Vacations

Hey guys,
I’m gonna be on vacation for like four days. But in these four days I will miss three HSS-100 workouts (chest, hamstrings, and arms). I’ve never been on vacation while on a split program and am wondering about the best way to deal with it since I can’t just make up for it right when I come back. Also, I doubt the Holiday Inn will have anythin but a couple weights. Should I:

a) Do nothing on vacation and just skip those three workouts for the week

b) Do minimal stuff with some dummbbells (if possible)

c) Take a week off so I don’t get some body parts more work than others

d) This is the gayest thread ever and it’s only a fucken four day vacation

Its a god damn vacation! Enjoy your time off. Scrambling and worrying about “OMG I have to workout” is uselsss and wont allow you to enjoy your trip to its fullest extent.

Just enjoy your damn vacation!

Ummm… d. lol OR you could overreach your last week of training before vacation and then do nothing during the time off. I’ve never tried it myself as of yet (since I’ve taken hardly any vacation since learning of it… sigh) but I hear good things.

Why not just pick up where you left off when you get back? Just shift the days so that when you get back you start with the first workout you missed and then keep it going until the next time you have to adjust your schedule. You can always do whatever you can with what you have where you are in the meantime but it’s tought to get in a solid workout on the road.

I have to agree with PGA. I took a week vacation two weeks ago, and I took the whole week off. I mean I did nothing physically exerting with the exception of beach volleyball, and let me tell you something, alot of times you don’t know how much you need a break until you actually take it.

I would do dumbells. Feeling good from working out would make my vacation better. I guess if you can get away with feeling fine skipping the workouts you could skip them. I know it would be on my mind.

I took off week vacations in the past and it made me stronger or at least maintain my strength and gains. But, it’s just confusing goin on vacation durin a split program since I don’t know if some it’s bad to have some body part workouts and skip others. But, so far I’m thinkin of starting next week with the ones I missed and kind of reverse my schedule. But PLEASE, keep the advice comin!

Vacation. If missing a few workouts is going to ruin your vacation, look up “Obsessed” in the dictionary and seek help. This is a hobby for most of us…a stress reliever…not a stress inducer.
