working around injury

Around the outside of my leg around the left butt cheek i have a sharp stabbing pain that comes and goes. I am going to go to a chiropractor, because a friend of mine who is a strength coach said I may have something that is out of line that could be causing the problem. Its been with me for a good 6 months and I have not done a hard core leg workout since. Just hack squats, bulgarian squats, and leg extensions. Anyways my question is this, until I get my leg healed up I want to try to workout Mon-Friday…I was thinking about chest/shoulders/triceps/light legs on Monday and Thursday…then Back,abs,biceps on Tuesday and Friday. Wednesday, sat., and sunday a rest day. My question is what type of volume of work should I do on these days…for example should I do 10 sets of chest on Monday for low reps…and then on Thursday do 5-6 sets of higher reps. I am just trying to get some ideas and would like some feedback…thanks to all who respond.
