Speaking of fire fighting, my sister is part of her local volunteer deaprtment. She is not allowed in structure because the men in the department are not confident she could carry them out if they got in trouble. No one can dispute that logic, standards should NOT be lowered for women any more than they should be lowered so a handicapped man can do it. If you can not perform to a set standard find another job.
