Wobenzym Timing

I have a few questions for TT or any other expert out there…

Wobenzym, being an enzym (multiple, actually), will digest proteins if I have them in my stomach when I take Wobenzym, correct?

So, the corollary to this is that I will not receive the tissue repair benefits of it if I let it help digest my food, correct?

How does this affect supplements? Will taking Wobenzym, while I have supplements in my stomach, damage or reduce the effectiveness of the supplements? I’m curious about the degree of interference.

If I take supplements with food, does it also take a few hours for the supplements to be fully moved out of the stomach, like with the food? In other words, if Wobenzym does interfere with supplements, and I take supplements with food, does this mean I need to wait two to three hours before taking the Wobenzym if I want to prevent it from interfering with the supplements?

Thanks for the edjukashun.

What sups are you talking about?

Biotest supplements (Alpha Male, M, Methoxy-7, HOT-ROX, and/or Spike), vitamins, that sort of thing.

Glad to see your keeping up the enzyme therapy. To answer your question, no, the other benefits of Wobenzym will still be seen. Although I am a fan of the much stronger Zymitol, Wobenzym’s tissue-repair qualities will only be slightly reduced. Wobenzym is strong enough to break down plenty of protein from a meal and still have enough active enzymes to get into your system and work their magic. We know this to be true because other than injection, this is the only way to get animals to ingest them, that is with food.

Will enzymes negate the actions of other supps? Good Lord no! Enzymes will act to support them and make them work better. Every single biochemical action in our bodies is done with an enzyme of some sort. After the age of 27 our bodies own enzyme production starts to go downhill, and ends in a crawl at the age of 35. Supplementing with an outside enzyme source gives the body the enzymes it needs to create the other enzymes it doesn’t create on it’s own anymore. Among these are the enzymes the body needs to funtionally utilize any supplements one takes, be it herbs, vitamins, fish oils, whatever. This is another reason they are so important. Why these wonderful little proteins are not the staple of every serious builder, lifter and athlete is beyond me. I can tell you I am not all that smart but even a dope like me can understand and appreciate the life and health and performance enhancing actions of these enzymes is nothing to sneer at.

What is the dose of Wobenzym you guys take? Cy, do you have any thought on the benefits of Wobenzym?

Currently, I’m just taking the recommended dose of three tablets, twice daily.

If I’m getting to the end of my supply of Wobenzym, does it make sense to switch to Zymitol??? Are the benefits that significant?? I’m 43 and I find that consistently taking Wobenzym has noticeably reduced joint pain and any post-workout inflammation…

They are for me. I’ve used both and the difference is quite strong. The serrapeptase is amazing!

I’m willing to try both. There wouldn’t be a problem taking both simultaneously, would there? I mean, a half dose of each every day, not a full dose of each.

Galvatron, could you PM me with some places to buy Zymitol inexpensively? None of my favorite supp shops carry it.

I’ve tried to PM you but I don’t think it’s working. If the mods would be so kind as to let this through, I buy mine from naturalhealthshoppe.com. No there would not be a problem taking both together, in fact the serrapeptase in Zymitol might even get more activity out of the Wobenzym formula.

Coolness. I might just give that a try. Thanks for your help.

I’m still waiting for Tampa-Terry to drop in and give her always educational perspective!
