Not entirely happy with them in truth.
Technique a little inconsistent again.

Felt “off?” All week. Is why. Still no crazy symptoms. If anything I just feel today like I have a bit of a cold. Whatever.

10 slow burpees for practice today.

Then jumped in the pool. Which is now being heated to 27c to take the edge off.

Get back into the burpees tomorrow, too. Took the last three days off them to finish off this virus. Seems to have worked. :person_shrugging: Maybe I didn’t need to stop anything. Who knows. It doesn’t really matter.

Quick bench session at lunchtime today. Just fitting this is between main sessions. Lost the “skill” of moving heavy weight on this exercise. Literally started at 90kg beginning on January and have just been adding weight weekly, so every bench session until today has been the heaviest weight I’ve moved this year.

Mate those singles at 125kg (275 lbs) looked pretty smooth. Good work.

Yeah felt heavy as hell man. But I think it’s all Mental. Absolutely wouldn’t have lost 25-30kg of bench strength in 9 weeks while I’ve still been benching. So I just need to adapt again. I’ll just add a little weight each each. Maybe even just a kg or two. Will help alot.

Got another comp pencilled in for end of June.

Generally did not feel good the whole session. Burpees this morning were a fucken punish too. Dunno, just a high gravity day or something. haha.

Will just have another go at 215kg deads next week. was meant to be 3x5.
Press i will add 1kg.
Chins i might repeat same weight and add a rep somewhere, or a 4th set.
Close grip will continue on with 2.5kg jumps until it squashes me.

Squats next session, will be up another 2.5kg to 130kg. Feels like an eternity since i last squatted even that much. 130x5x3 is this years first minor squat goal on the weights. Will be nice to tick it off comfortably. Still 32.5kg short of my all time best set of 5. :frowning:

But patience is key. So far so good.

Speaking of goals, i usually have a bunch of small milestone goals i write down for upcoming training.

Currently im chasing:

Squat: 130x5
Bench 120x5
Deadlift: 220x5
Press: 70x5

Those are the main focus lifts constantly for me. Wont be moving on from 5’s until i’ve reached and or beaten these numbers. None of which are actually PB’s, lol.

Getting rona and a week off will have slowed you down a little and 215 isn’t exactly light mate.

215kg, is not 300kg.

On that conditioning gain train…

Burpees/Sand Bag carry.

Bag weighs a disappointing 58.7kg (i paid for 60kg of sand!!!).

6 burpees then 20m pick and carry. 6 rounds as fast as i could move the bag…kept the burpees smooth and controlled. No slipping this time, lol. Shoulders and triceps were tender from yesterdays training.

Something to build on. Will hold off on adding my extra bag of sand i picked up.

Shit was harder than expected.
