I was logging on an old forum, that basically is just crickets nowadays. A mate of mine is on here, so I thought I’d check it out…so here we are.
Background is all strength training. I like lifting the thing. I like chasing pointless numbers.
I’ve competed a few times over the years, maybe 10-12 meets, nothing crazy, just honest efforts. Basically a shitty backyard powerlifter who enjoys the journey almost more than the destination.
Best lifts on the platform are:
Squat/Bench/Deadlift - 195/142.5/252.5kg weighing 98.9kg
Best gym lifts currently - 200/150/272.5kg
Squats have been shit last couple years, tendonitis ripping me a new one over that time.
Have spent a lot of time hopefully sorting that out recently, and have been back regularly squatting for about 6 weeks now and they are feeling quite good.
Whatever.
My training is simple. I basically am doing only two difference workouts currently, on a bit of an opened ended block. Resting between 2 and 3 days typically between them. Working ok for the moment bringing me back towards heavier numbers - was sick as hell over xmas, forced deload. Decided to ‘rebuild’ to start back.

Leg Extensions: These are light. Lots of reps. Most amazing squat and deadlift warmup ever.
