Can’t wait for hockey. Should be awesome. Canada has one of the best teams I have ever seen on paper.
Unfortunately for them it will be played on ice. USA!
I think it will be an interesting year. Of course I am rooting for the USA. I think it will be a toss up between Canada, Sweden, and the US. Hopefully we can pay those Canadian bastards back for 2010. Fuck Crosby.
I’m going for USA too of course. but, if they can’t win wouldn’t mind seeing canada win it. I just hope Russia doesn’t medal
USA usually doesn’t have the same “star power” that a couple of other teams in hockey do but, they always seem to play a good team game and can beat anybody on any given day. On paper, it’s hard to bet against the Canadian team; it’s perhaps the most talented hockey team ever assembled from ANY nation. However, games are played on ice, not paper, so anything can happen.

I heard Russia wasn’t that good, but then looking at their roster Pavel Datsyuk is an alternate. He is coming off an injury but how stacked must they be to not have him on a top line.

Well USA just announced Quick will be starting over Miller…there goes our chance at gold

I hope after looking at their roster you realized how good they are this year haha.

Russia’s top 2 lines are stacked but lines 3 and 4 fall off sharply after that. It was risky taking Datsyuk as he has clearly not been playing 100% for the last 2 months. Russia is dangerous to me because of their home ice advantage; how they cope with the pressure will determine their fate.

What the fuck is winter olympics?
Fucking have 6 months until football season. What do you guys think about the Browns owner firing the GM’s etc? Kind of fucked up
You wouldn’t talk like that if Texas had a hockey team.
? What the fuck is hockey
Is that one of those Canadian maple syrup and snow type things?
Should I ask Chuck? or Kent?
Hockey is a gift from God to allow man to rise above his corporal trappings and achieve divinity.
So it is a Whiskey? or Scotch?

I’ve met a couple of bobsledders and I went for a couple runs in a 2 man sled years ago (we crashed halfway down my first run). Those guys are freaks and that shit is nuts. They’ve got cool fundraising commercials too.
Best Olympic commercial ever. That was awesomely funny

Agreed, funny as hell.

The guy on the right when they are sitting at the desk is Jesse Lumsden. I went to McMaster University with him. He was an absolutely unreal running back. He played for a short time for the Seattle Seahawks before being cut at which time he found his way back to the CFL and played for a while for the Tiger-Cats before being injured and winding up on the scrapheap. It’s great to see that he has found a new outlet for his athletic talent. I really hope he does well at Sochi.
Shawn White choked badly last night. He did not medal, losing to a Russian and 2 Japanese snowboarders. He looks like a guy who smoked too much pot for way too long.
Also, the Russians cannot construct an icy halfpipe worth a shit.

Damn, lucky, you got a connection to two people in these Olympics.
