Will upper body explosive training carryover vertical jump?

I want to improve my vertical jump. I do lower body explosive training.

Will upper body explosive training like medi ball throw and clap push ups carryover my vertical or they just make my upper body explosive?

Do they drain your energy just like plyos? I know you are not supposed to do too much plyos.
