Wide Stance Squats Carryover?

Opinions on the use of wide stance squats in regard to potential carry over to not-so-wide stance squats / deadlifting (sumo / conventional) ?

*Particularly for raw lifting but any opinions appreciated

The wider the stance the more you need to activate glutes, hamstrings, and hips. This will have much more carry over to sumo pulls and not so much with conventional. It will make you stronger which can’t hurt.
