Why I Hate Young Voters

Every single problem in the world can be thought of as an engineering scenario. Or so I’ve found.

What is “engineering talent” if not a highly analytical mindset?

There’s a common stereotype which holds that engineers lack social skills because “people aren’t logical” and the former group is so accustomed to working with “logical” processes. As someone who considers himself to have been born of the “engineering mindset”, I take issue with this perception because human behavior is simply a manifestation of natural, biological processes. And biology is logical. It is a natural science whose fundamental axioms can be observed and applied to problems in order to establish definitive solutions.

I believe that engineering processes are highly applicable to social problems. It simply requires an understanding of human behavior within the larger context of biological mechanisms.

I’m the most analytical person that I’ve come across and yet, my social skills are better than most. I don’t personify the stereotypical engineer. I’m not mildly autistic, either.

For an example of a scientific analysis of human behavior as written by a mathematician, see here:

I never implied engineers were social imbeciles. Why would I be friends with the ones I mentioned if that were the case?

I was just stating a case that it is illogical to assume that someone has a well thought out view point on a current event topic just because he/she is an engineer.

I think you’re turning this into something it’s not.

I agree with this post. However, just because one is an engineer by trade or degree, does not mean that they have this engineering mindset.

I’d hit it.

Yeah right, like he’s gonna move his lazy ass and “take America back”…LOL

Well I would prefer they held an election and no one showed up. Showing up and voting just legitimizing a corrupt system. Anyone who thinks voting for either of those tools will make one whit of a difference, should immediately be showed the error of their ways. No matter which wins the same exact thing will happen. Can anyone actually point out where the two idiots differ in anything other than semantics? They are the same except one is old, crusty, white, and insane and the other is young, fresh, black, and insane.

I know it is odd and counter to everything you have been taught but ignore the process. Those who are informed and choose not to vote because they see the illegitimacy of the system are really the only ones who have earned the right to complain. Everyone else who voted for one or the other of two rotten, miserable, thieving, conniving con men has lost the right to complain afterwards because they obviously supported the system and got exactly what they wanted. While people like me have it forced at gunpoint onto them.

I have a right to complain, you do not.

Hell yeah. Imagine how those idiots at FOX or MSNBC would handle that…

A girl I know is a die-hard Obama fan. While watching his acceptance speech, another girl brought up the fact that he is going to raise taxes for her family. ObamaFan said that was okay and that something needs to be done. At the bar later, she gave a nice tip for a drink. So, I commented on it, and she said, “yeah it’s not really my money anyway, my dad adds to this account every few weeks.” No conception of life, and she’s going to vote for Obama.

A lot of young people like Obama without realizing he will make life worse for a good amount of people, all of them included. So many kids are blinded by their Bush hatred and lose all logic. I keep my mouth shut around during political discussions with most kids my age. So naive.

I had a discussion with a gal i met at a bar 23 years ago. she was telling me how Reagan was hurting the middle and lower class people with his economics. I asked her how much her parents made. Her mom made over 100 K a year while her dad made more.

I told her my family made about 30 K a year and we’re doing a lot better with Reagan than that pansy ass Carter with his double digit inflation and high interest rates and she has no idea what she’s talking about.

End of discussion.

Huh, huh, huh, huh… Like, I’m soooooo toooootalllyyyy voting for, like Obama and shit man. Like, uhhhhhhh, you know, like… Uhhhhhhhhhh, like, if you like, vote for like, Obama and stuff, you, like, uuuuhhhhhhhhh, you know? Huh, huh, huh, huh, huh… LIke, Bush is like, you know, like, hitler and stuff maaaaaannnnnnn. You know, like hitler and bush like, hates, like blacks and stuff man… And he is, like, you know all about the corporate stuff. Like, uhhhhhhhh, like, so you should, like, vote for Obama and stuff because, like, bush ruined everything in the like, economy and like stuff and like, he is, like, the corporations and stuff maaaaannnnnn…

Reality check.

A lot of voters on BOTH sides of this campaign are walking around with one eye closed and very little knowledge.

I’m more scared of the ones who don’t yet know who they’re voting for. They’re definitely not voting on the issues… too much emotion.

There’s a saying here in Canada and I assume there are variations around the world.

Jesus man, you’ve got the saddest, most pathetic attempts at humor I’ve ever seen.

Even your Republican compatriots aren’t going near these goofy ass things you keep doing.

Christ. Keep your day job motherfucker.
