Christ,no. Lol,I looked it up and its called “De Quervain’s Tendinitis” I had it for a month and a half now. Im thinking about taking a leave of absence from work for a couple of weeks and not even going to the gym since loading up 45s pop my wrist out of place sometimes.
Dominate or nondominate wrist? Are you seeing an Ortho or regular doc? have they done a MRI yet?
Dominant Wrist. I saw a regular doctor.Ive seen him twice and hes been giving me Meloxicam,2 weeks worth. He said that if it doesn’t improve that I should come back and get a MRI. Im going back because im almost out of 2nd prescription and I feel like im at square one whenever the medication wears off.

Do you trust this Dr?
Get the MRI and then ask for a referral to a hand and wrist specialist. Hell you live in Houston there are world class ones here in town.
I also would recommend to see a specialist. I always ask for referral towards a specialist if I get an injury from lifting or from MMA/BJJ.
I have experienced that by getting better, more specific help I always recover better and faster.
I have to agree seeing someone with a good squat form is pretty awesome, I find human movement can be poetic.
I am slightly jealous of my brother who at 6’3" has got really good squat mechanics (Ass to Grass since we are hardcore)
OP - your point is well received. The mental strength required and developed through truly hard effort squat sessions is something only those that have been there can appreciate.
