Why would they when they were hearing about all the “hope and change” from NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC the New York Times, Time magazine, Newsweek and all the other liberal media outlets that were working hard to put Obama in the White House.
And, they will work hard to keep him there too. If the republicans put up anyone other than a mega-star we’re doomed with another 4 years of Mr. Lefty.
What’s troubling to me is that the election of people like BHO and Clinton indicates a country that has no values, a country where right and wrong don’t matter for a majority of the people.

They may very well get them back. But they could fuck it up fairly quickly too. One thing they need to do is keep the religious right on a leash, because the majority of people, even religious people do not share all of their views. The religious right needs to accept that they represent an extreme that has driven people away from the Republicans, just as Obama and Nancy Pelosi represent an extreme that is driving people away from the Democrats.

You may want to have another look at all those disgruntled republican voters who make up the tea party. They aren’t socially-liberal/laizess faire capitalists. I have no idea why people continue to act as is they are.

That is why I could see the whole thing quickly come apart. They need to face up to the reality that it isn’t the 1950’s anymore. Our social values have changed, they are not gong to change back and if they try to push a whole package of social issues on people they are going to lose support. They need to focus on getting the economy sorted out first.

He is an atheist. He has no morals, and no principles whatsoever. Now an atheist can have morals but the fact that Obama simply acts with expediency indicates a man who has no morals. He also hasn’t been to church since taking office. He only went to Pastor Wright’s church to get the support of the black community (which is kind of racis). It therefore seems likely that he’s an atheist.
