Why Attacks on Trump Don't Work

“Many” in what context? compared to U.S. companies and research not even in the same universe.

Were all these “discoveries” funded by the state? Links please.

Or were these “discoveries” funded by U.S. research companies and based in these countries?

Were these “discoveries” made before the socialization of that country’s health care? I’m guessing yes.

As for his nominee campaign:

The loans are from his own company. That’s the equivalent of taking blood from your leg and injecting it into your vein.

The donations he also explained that people were constantly sending in very small amounts to him and it started becoming a huge inconvenience to send the money back.

"“We had a woman [donate] $7.59, what do you do? How can you send the money back? First of all it’s too expensive to send it back. It costs you more money to send it back,” he said at the time.

“You know, it’s cute, it’s beautiful. They feel invested in your campaign.”

To touch on the original post:

This, by far, is the biggest IMO. People in general are tired of buzzwords and stereotypical putdown of the right.

The left has burnt out the effectiveness of calling anyone a “racist” to the point were people are generally just assuming someone is lying when they call someone a racist. Groups like BLM who have a correct and sound message, have delivered it in such a way as they have pushed AWAY support and compassion they should and would get, if they tried to have the “conversation” in a less shitty way.

People are growing more and more tired of the left being more concerned with WHAT you are and not caring about WHO anyone is. People are sick and tired of being lumped into a group and assumed they are spoken for by the stereotype of that group. They are tired of being spoken down to by the “betters” in the media and government.

The left has dominated the culture war for some time now, and they have created Trump and Sanders. Two deluded buffoons whom large portions of society want to give control of the biggest and most powerful government the world has ever seen to.

Think about it. The Punk Rock thing to do these days is be a “conservative” person who is okay with traditional gender roles, doesn’t want to publicly shame decenters, works hard to better their own life, doesn’t hate rich people and wants to actually have the babies they make and have a nuclear family.

I’m getting off on a rant here, but attacks on Trump don’t work because the left has started to eat it’s own.

To be fair a lot of private universities receive government funding for R&D, clinical trials, etc… I, very briefly, worked for Johns Hopkins University and the majority of the funding we received came from DHHS - NIH. The actual work was done by a private organization (obviously) so I’m not sure if Dharm is not differentiating between the two in his comment or if the same situation is not true generally in Europe.

As for the general the way I see it is he’s forcing the GOPe sheep to support him after they overwhelmingly opposed him during his nomination run and forcing them to fundraise on his behalf.

A presidential run costs 2 billion dollars

That’s because they’re cowards that don’t actually care about there constituents, but their power. Fakes as I said months ago.

There are tonnes, one i am particularly interested in as I have loved ones with cancer:
Cuban lung cancer vaccine that prolongs cancer patients lives without the side effects of other drugs, looks promising and hopefully more research will keep going:

Now I will just list English ones over the last few decades (too many to list right here, this is just a selection):

Research on and mass production of penicillin by the English.

Diagnostic ultrasound again England.

Discovery of how to culture embryonic stem cells credited to England-born biologist Martin Evans.

First baby genetically selected to be free of a breast cancer born at University College Hospital in England.

Potential of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in treating a wide range of genetic diseases, among other breakthroughs, discovered by John Raymond Hobbs in England.

Development of in vitro fertilisation (IVF) by Patrick Christopher Steptoe (1913–1988) and Robert Geoffrey Edwards.

Computed Tomography and first commercial CT scanner invented by Sir Godfrey Hounsfield in England.

The hip replacement operation (in which a stainless steel stem and 22mm head fit into a polymer socket and both parts are fixed into position by PMMA cement) pioneered by John Charnley in England.

First use of sodium cromoglycate for asthma prophylaxis associated with Roger Altounyan.

If the government monies are similar to my industry, it is strictly matching funds…but if I am incorrect and the majority of medical device and pharm breakthroughs in the U.S. are directly funded by the government, then I am incorrect.

Any of you fans of Ben Garrison? He makes some hilarious cartoons

You realize that the U.S. spends 40% of the total money for Research and Development…IN THE WORLD, and that was in 14’.

https://www.battelle.org/docs/tpp/2014_global_rd_funding_forecast.pdf

As far as I remember (this was 4+ years ago) there was no matching requirement. All I know is that, in terms of university funded research, JHU blows every other university out the water as it relates to total funding and that funding, at least in the areas I helped with, received mostly DHHS funding. For every private financial report that needed to be prepared there were probably 10 federal ones.

Paul Ryan to endorse Trump

I had high hopes for Ryan…

I did, but like I said - I was stating my personal experience and the costs that I’ve incurred.

Sensationalist media articles can be spun one way or the other, so one has to reduce it down to personal level.

I know that my brother in law is making a killing with dental tourism - most of his clients are senior citizens from the US who get off from cruise ships for a few days so there has to be some underlying economic rationale for them.

I have no problems with my tax money going for universal health care. Although I’m pro-business, limited-government center-right in Europe this would make me a placard waving, Bernie loving socialist in the US.

Ya, government run medicare doesn’t cover most dental work…

If you are speaking of strictly dental, I get that. dental insurance is extra in the U.S. and cosmetic is not hardly ever covered in full. So what you are saying makes sense.

But call me crazy, but I would rather not wait 6 weeks for an MRI.

Or be told that an aggressive form of cancer treatment did not fall under the states opinion of essential treatment.

One last thing, if state run dental care is the same as in the UK…count me the fuck out of that brother.

Deflect, don’t answer.

Soviet Unions?

I can’t stand hearing how Bernie is incorruptible. To follow the logic, if corporate money is bad because after the election a favor is owed, how is Union money any different?

We also have to ignore all of the contributions his campaign receives from Soros organizations.
