Why Attacks on Trump Don't Work

I think when they do outnumber the older guys you will have a system like Sweden (Sweden was my favourite system before the lunatic marxists in the past 7 years broke the immigration:

  1. Low levels of regulation, free market, low public sector.
  2. High levels of taxation by the state to cover healthcare, education etc.
  3. the original swedish immigration position of no or low migration, to make sure there is not a pool of unemployed people on a free ride.
  4. Gun rights for every citizen.

Ummmm yea, this is one of Trumps main running points, remember?

Ummmm this is who Trump is running against, remember?

It’s not hard to figure out why people like some of what Trump is feeding them…pretty soon there will be ZERO motivation for many people to actually perform work…THE STATE WILL PROVIDE FOR YOU!

That isn’t how it works in Europe though. It isn’t socialism. Socialism is the state controls industry and production and you work for the state. We don’t have that, we have a free market and a state sector.

We have higher taxes and use it to fund welfare and healthcare. If we are not socialist and working for the state what makes you think america is anywhere close to that?

If all of the countries of Europe suddenly matched US military spending dollar for dollar, where would they put all of that shit?

They should just lease our equipment when they need it and maintain the agreement with a modest retainer.

And yeah, I know, that subject was a hundred posts ago, and ridiculous to suggest.

Not there yet, which is why we are still afloat…but we are on the way brother…

The fact that record numbers of people are on the government dole, the fact that we are basically embracing an open border policy (you got here, FUCK IT you can stay…here’s some free shit).

Illegal immigrants demand their RIGHTS, and call those who would have them deported racist and bigots.

A whole generation of entitled, spoiled little shits think that everything they want should be provided for them by the government…paid for by those dirty rich people (who are clearly bigots!).

They believe in free speech, unless they disagree with you, then you should be silenced because you are a racist bigot.

The point is, those who have never worked embrace the idea of the government running everything and taking care of them through redistribution of wealth…and that generation terrifies me.

So they’re just being pragmatic, you’re saying?

They are either suckers or are compromised - I suspect the latter since they need RNC support and dollars.

These are rock-ribbed right-wingers about to support a confessed autocrat who, from a policy perspective, might as well be Democrat.

A shameless flip flop. Not surprised.

Also, we’ve seen quite a change of heart from you.

Some weeks ago, it was all no guts, no glory, no compromise with the trimmers and Establishment, ride or die on “constitutional” principles. And not only that, there was a Robespierrean litmus test for those who would do so and the moral cowards who wouldn’t.

Now, it’s “hey, just kidding, we just need to accept the inevitable”.

What happened to all that ride or die, no quarter given, etc. on “constitutional” principles ? No longer convenient?

More to the topic, it appears Trump has no plans to release his tax returns. Not only is that bad on its face, it makes him uniquely unqualified to attack Hillary precisely where she needs to be attached - on corruption and lack of transparency. Any GOP candidate would want to force the Clinton Foundation sleaze to be addressed - if Trump refuses to pony up the tax documents, he can’t credibly force Hillary to do the same.

Soon, very soon, the voters who thought Trump was the man to take on the so-called Establishment will learn Trump is the Establishment, abuses power like the Establishment, and expects the plebes to never question him.

Eh.

I own a factory and the state takes what I produce. The state owns a factory. Same thing.

No it isn’t. One is taxation, the other is the state control s the productive means of society, decides what is produced, distributes and sells it on non-free markets.

They are a million miles apart.

Yes, I understand that, my point is that you are defending them and their choice to back Trump - why aren’t you scorching Zinke and Sessions for selling out and rolling over in the name of pragmatism?

Would you be doing this if Jeb were the nominee and they backed him?

He is absolutely being himself when it comes to the many interviews that he’s done. Why else would he say women who have abortions need to be punished. Well, that’s just one he’s said a slew of things that did not make sense politically.

If Trump is a con man then he is the worlds worst.

Edit

You have managed to state the exact opposite of what is going to take place. Trump has more support now from the voters than he did 30 days ago. 30 days from now he will have even more. Check the polls TB it’s about a dead heat with Trump a tiny bit ahead. As I told everyone including you a few months back people are fickle. Trumps unfavorable numbers are down about 10 pts. from a few months ago. It’s either your blind hate for Trump or your lack of political experience (oh you hated reading that one) that causes you to come up with some really wrong minded things regarding this race.

Maybe he, unlike you and a couple of others on this site, realize that either Trump or Hillary (if not indicted) will become the next President. And he like about 80% (and climbing) of the republican party is deciding that Trump is definitely better than Hillary.

But keep dashing off those anti Trump posts …(eye roll)
