And how useful have you found it?
I’ve been a certified PIMP for years, its’ great.
Oh, Project Mangement Professional. lol
Actually I’m collecting hours for it right now.
I want to punch the PMP at my office in the face right now. Not sure how that helps you though. Sorry.
My roommate did it. I don’t know much about it though. I’m more blue collar myself.
@PeteS I’ve had my PMP since 2007. It’s a must have for certain jobs/industries. For example, I am a program manager for US Gov’t defense programs. It’s a HUGE deal for this kind of work. In general, if your customers don’t strongly desire the certification or if it’s not required for advancing in your line of work, I wouldn’t recommend it. It takes a considerable amount of time, money, and energy investment to get the certification. The reward has to be worth the investment, if you know what I mean.
Did this help, or was your question regarding how to get the certification?
RMichael,
Thanks, helps. I have worked as a PM in Telco/Data for better part of the last decade. Just thinking it might be a nice bit of leverage for future positions.
