High bar or low bar? Ty
Low bar can require more shoulder and ankle mobility.
Goblet and front squat transition a little easier to high bar.
I think the answer to that question is going to vary by person. We’re all put together differently and we usually have different goals on top of that.
Speaking for myself, I started with high bar but it wasn’t until I made the effort to learn low-bar squats that the lift really took off for me. High bar was easier to learn and do some squats with, but low bar was “easier” to dramatically increase the load and keep it up over time while also keeping my joints in agreement with what I do.
I didn’t really choose low bar, it chose me.
