Even thought the poundage?s lifted are greater in the first option 7,000 vs. 5,800 in option 2?

You also have to factor how long it takes you to complete each workout. Rest between sets is a factor.

You might be moving more pounds/minute with the 10x3.

If you're doing both in the same amount of time, I'd go with the first one. You'll have done more work.

Although I think that someone who can do the first workout can probably do 10x3 with a heavier weight than 195.
