Whey Before Cardio?

I usually do cardio in the afternoon and was wondering if it would be a good idea to have a whey protein shake before cardio to prevent muscle breakdown. My goal of course is to lose fat with little or no muscle loss.

WHat kind of cardio are you planning to do? If its an HIIT session, treat it like a resistance/lifting session instead and feed it accordingly.
As long as you wait an hour or so for the shake to be digested, I think it can’t hurt. I’d take the shake after the session myself.
