When to Take BCAA's?

I lift alot and i also play basketball. This makes it hard to maintain and gain muscle mass, especially lean muscle mass.

I was just wondering if i took bcaa’s in a water bottle while i was playing basketball, if this would help keep my body in an anabolic state and thus would make it easier to gain while still playing sports. any input or advice is appreciated, even if it’s just about general use of BCAA’s. thanks
