What is the best weight for someone over 6 ft. to compete in powerlifting. I was always told that for my height the 242lb. class was way to light. Any thoughts?
Robert Roman has a sort of guide as to what weight class someone should lift in, depending on their height. Anyone taller than 183cm should be in the 110kg category, but guys usually blow up to more than 300lbs.
To be a world class powerlifter, probably you would want to be at least a 275 lber. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t compete until you weigh 275.
i think natey is reffering to OLing versus PLing btw.
I just thought that a strength athlete is a strength athlete.
