I’m brand new to mma right now. I’m a former power lifter but the powerlifting gym i attend with the work schedual I have isn’t going to mesh. So to keep my competitive juices flowing i decided im going to give mma a try. I’m only 5’6 but i was floating between the 198 and 220 classes. After doing some research and seeing that most of the guys in the heavier classes are 6 feet and up i assume im going to have to drop some weight. What is the rule in most cases for heights and weight classes.
You are probably going to need to get to 170.
Probably lower if you stick with it.
Sounds impossible until your body composition will change.
