What Type of Yogurt?

I’ve heard consuming yogurt with meals is far superior to milk. Can anyone suggest a good brand for yogurt or what exactly to look for in a yogurt? That said how many times a day should I include Yogurt in to my day? How manys cans should I eat per day?

Thank you,

Vincent

individual things of yogurt tend to have lots of sugar. I buy big tubs of all natural flavorless yogurt, I throw in apples too.

Can you get Fage at say Walmart or Target?

The ABSOLUTE BEST yogurt you can get is goat yogurt from White Egret Farm:

The reason it is best is that goat milk is better digested by humans (stays in stomach about 20 minutes) and this particular goat yogurt is fermented in such a way that it has more good bacteria.

Another one that is good (but not as good) is the goat yogurt from Redwood Hills Farms. You can get this one from Whole Foods usually.

Are any of these available in grocery stores like Target or Walmart? That’s all I really have around me, so that said what would you suggest?

Blemming, do the best you can with what’s available. In general, buy plain yogurt and add the fruit of your choice and a no-/low-calorie sweetener like Splenda.

I like adding a cup of frozen black cherries or mango or blueberries to my yogurt and giving it a ride in the blender. Fast and tasty! Those are all fruits that add lot of flavor. Those are all fruits that are available in the Wal-Mart near where I live.

From what I’ve read, this goat milk is raw. Can you have it shipped to your house?

I have to concur. Fage is great, especially with a scoop of protein powder.

fage is really good. so is brown cow. also brown cow doesn’t homogenize so the cream is all on top. i like to eat the cream by itself with some fruit for desert.
