What to Do on 'Off Days'?

you have said before you never really have an “off day”.
i am currently doing 4 days.
explosive pulls (high, chinese, low see my post on explosive pulls) / slight decline / Dead-Squat launch / Slight incline

i just did this in 4 days in a row

if i’m bugged to go train(which more than likely i will be), what can i do?

Hey that’s a good question. I am interested to see what CT says. On my “off” days I like to do things like a little circuit with a miniband and a light or average band of things like pull aparts, face pulls, curls, and pushdowns. 20 reps per movement for a few circuits while I watch TV or something.

Inhale everything.

Honestly, I try to stretch as much as possible, because I’m usually sitting all day for a multitude of reasons. I’ll dig deep into a piriformis/PSOAS stretch (extremely painful for me so it’s very VERY fun) for a minuteish. I do this whenever I can so I don’t stand up after sitting for long periods feeling like the tin man or some shit.

Option 1. Keep rolling whit the program (so back to day 1)

Option 2: Beach work (biceps, abs, etc.)

Option 3: Explosive work (jumps, throws, olympic lifts if you are able to do them)

Option 4: Sprinting

i absolutely love it!!!
you just made my day!!!

i train hard 4 days/week.

on my “off” days i usually work in gyms anyways so ill usually take about 30 minutes before or after my shift and do injury prevention stuff.

External rotators, trap-3 Raises, Poliquin or peterson step-ups etc…

im lovin the advice for the off days so far.
?
have done ab work in forever. i get cramped up so fast. its really crazy. i mean paralyzed cramps, wher i think i need 911.
can you offer some ideas?
i have given up on the idea of a 6 pack yers ago. but i always had good ab strength and resiliency.
not now.
so, any simple exercises that i can do ?

Honestly, within 2-3 workouts you will be fine. This always happens to me when I start doing abs again. Try doing a little abs every day just to get used to it, it will subside shortly.
